UFO Furusawa is the second-generation head of Furusawa,
Ji-uta-mai, which is an ancient classical form of Japanese dance. She originally learned from the Grand Master of Furusawa School of Dance, Yu Furusawa, who was her mother. UFO also
studied Goten-mai, which is a dance form traditional to the Himeji Castle.
While studying and inheriting these classical
traditions, UFO not only performed classical masterpieces, but also expanded the medium by incorporating various modern forms of art. She has performed joint works with Western modern
music, classical music, jazz, the Balinese Gamelan, rock music, African music, the Hawaiian Hula, contemporary dance, Butoh, and painting. Through these collaborations, she has created
numerous experimental pieces.
古澤侑峯(地歌舞・源氏舞、舞手、日本)
古澤流家元 古澤侑の長女。2008年より二代目家元となる。伝統の舞である『地歌舞 (じうたまい)』を継承し、古典の発展と普及に努めている。姫路城に伝えられた 「御殿舞(ごてんまい)」も修めている。
古典を踏まえつつ、邦楽以外にも様々な ジャンルとのセッションを試み、又、詩や絵を題材に振り付けするなど、数々の実 験的活動を重ね独自の舞の世界を築きあげている。『雪月花1~5』など シリーズ 化した企画公演も多数手がけている。花博、ドイツブレーメン音楽祭、日本デザイ
ン会議秋田など日本国内及び海外各地【アジア、ヨーロッパ、米国、アラブ諸国】 における派遣、招聘公演多数。伊勢神宮、元伊勢籠神社、清水寺や天龍寺、大覚寺 などでの奉納公演も多い。グリーンリボン新人賞、大阪芸術祭賞、京都芸術賞など 受賞。 2001年より「源氏物語 五十四帖」を舞に作品化する『源氏舞』の制作を開 始。2008年に完成させる。パリ、ベルサイユ、グラスゴー、ポーランドのマルボル
ク城でも公演している。古典では毎年地歌舞の会を東京と横浜で開催し、2015年で 39回を数える。
